Bridge Between Us

The Bridge Between Us is a heartwarming middle-grade picture book about Maya, a city girl who spends her summer with her grandparents on their rural farm. Surrounded by unfamiliar routines, old-fashioned traditions, and a complete lack of reliable internet, Maya quickly discovers that she and her grandparents see the world very differently.
As the summer unfolds, Maya learns the value of family stories, photo albums, homemade pie, and finding direction with a compass. In return, she introduces her grandparents to video calls, GPS, weather apps, and the many ways technology can help people stay connected. Together, they discover that while generations may grow up in different worlds, love, curiosity, and understanding can build a bridge between them.
Written and illustrated by Alina Tahir Zaidi, The Bridge Between Us celebrates family bonds, intergenerational learning, and the memories that connect us across time.
